Will you join us in northern Italy next year to give refugee children an unforgettable summer?

Many refugees arrive in Italy every year. Some of them live on the streets, in anticipation of continuing to travel. Christian organizations care about the plight of these people and show Jesus’ love by providing help wherever possible. One of these organizations organizes annual Christian summercamps for refugee children and children of Italian families who are live in poverty. You can help give these kids a great summer week let experience in which they may discover the love of Jesus!

Join us on a mission trip
Two summer camps were held in 2022 and 2023 with 100 children participating each week. But there is room for three hundred children per week of camp! The problem is that there are not enough volunteers. This is something we want to change with you. As a volunteer, you will help with sports and games activities or music making, get creative with the children, and perform various activities associated with a summer camp. Meanwhile, share your own story in a low-key way and tell the children about Jesus. For this, we will give you a number of tools and training in advance so that you are well prepared and equipped to get started.

Practical
The trip will take place from July 12-20, 2024. From the Netherlands, we travel in vans to Como, in northern Italy. There is room for up to sixteen participants and the minimum age is sixteen. Leading up to summer camp, you will meet with the group a few times for training and equipping so that you leave for Italy well prepared. The summer weeks are English-speaking so it is helpful if you speak a little English. After the trip, we will meet again to look back.

The cost for the trip is €790 all-in per person, so this includes transportation, food and drink, accommodation, meetings, etc. Participants are encouraged to raise their own funds and receive assistance in doing so.
